Pazzles Blade Housing = Cricut Deep Cut Blade Housing?

Pazzles Blade Housing = Cricut Deep Cut Blade Housing?

Noticed something quite interesting while unpacking a Pazzles machine. Take a very close look at the included Pazzle blade housing. The Cricut blade is on the left (still inside the package for proof) and the Pazzle blade is on the right.

Take a look at the pictures below. Identical? I’d sure say so.

Doesn’t every one already know that Pazzles is the Actual designer of the Cricut. (There were even published articles in popular magazines) Their regular blades are even cheaper than the Cricuts deep cut blade. I even use their cutting mats in my cricut because the adhesives stays longer!! FYI!!

You dont even have to buy a deep blade housing just the blades, and put them in your green ORIGINAL housing, just another way for the company to make money!! I tell all my customers this info. Another FYI

Hey Diana that’s just it! Everyone doesn’t know! I’m sure you were new to this hobby at one time yourself, so there is no need to be a pompous ass about it. FYI!

My sister somehow lost our original blade housing on our cricut and I was wondering if the deep cut housing could be used instead since they don’t sell the regular blade housing in stores. It looks the same, some people said it is 1/8 in shorter for clearance purposes but does it matter? or should the housing be touching the paper to keep it from popping off the mat?

I am not sure about the clearance of the deep blade housing though I did find a replacement blade housing on the Cricut website p/n 29-0113.

I just purchased a Cricut after using a friends. The blade housing on my new machine is plastic vs. the aluminum green one that my friend has. Can you tell me when/where you purchased an aluminum replacement one? The Cricut website shows that they are out of stock. I just opened the box tonight and it wouldn’t cut at all. I’ve read the tips on installing the blade housing and I think I have it installed correctly. The housing isn’t low enough to touch the paper!!! Any suggestions?

Just read the postings when checking whether or not I really needed the deep cut blade housing. Diana, can you please give a url to the information that Pazzles / Cricut are essentially the same products? Thank you!

I do own the Pazzles Inspiration and I own all of the housings to do many different things and I own the Cricut Personal. So Thank you for the information. All the items do fit both machines. No need to waist anymore money on the cricut to do all the different things the Pazzles does. I bought the Cricut 1st I wanted to do more so purchased the Pazzles. Love Both Thanks Again

  9. Sharon says:

The answer to Keleia is no you do not need to buy the deep cut housing and blades. If you own the Pazzles all like I said in my last answer everything fits both machines and can be interchanged.

So if I own a cricut (not out of the box yet), can I use the embossing and engraving blades in my cricut?

Instead of buying new mats use Krylon Easy-Tack Adhesive provides a repositionable bond on most light weight materials and may be adjusted, removed, and reapplied. I bought it at Michaels it costs $6.59 and it goes a long way you just spray a very light coat as needed.
