This brand new Cricut cartridge was released on Oct 6th as part of Provocraft's October cartridge collection. This cartridge features plenty of great details to add to any of your scrapbooking or arts and crafts projects. It's got loads of curly-Q's, what looks like argyle shapes, spins, swishes, Celtic crosses, Greek designs as well as birds, plants, leaves, branches, and a swan.

Because this cartridge is only found in the champagne Cricut expression bundle it can be very hard, or expensive to find. Luckily, Ebay usually has a few in stock for a great price.

The Picturesque Cricut cartridge also has the ability to cut cards, tags, and corners so it is useful throughout the year for any occasion!

The creative features on this great Cricut cartridge are:

  • Tag
  • Corner
  • Framework
  • Card and Seal
  • Shadow
  • Blackout

As always, this cartridge is compatible with the Cricut Expression, the other 2 Cricut machines, and can be uploaded to the brand spankin' new Cricut Gypsy.

I did a pre order on Picturesque through Custom Crops for $50. They were supposed to be getting it at the end of January. I even called Provo Craft just to make sure that co. was getting it (they did confirm). I got an email from Custom Crops last week stating they were mis-informed (apparently I was as well by Provo Craft). It seems the manufacturer intended this cartridge to be sold to a larger retailer exclusively and they sold out of the stock they had. But since they had such a large number of pre orders, they are getting a one time shipment for anyone who ordered by Jan 12th 2010. The other drawback is that it will now take another 5 weeks. I am not sure if another store is getting them in the future, but in my opinion, Provo Craft would make a lot more money if they sold all of the cartridges they make (no special packages). Even if they started the cartridge out in an early release in a special package, they should release the cartridge not to far down the road. But hey, they did not ask me. I am fortunate enough to have ordered one, maybe the site will have more out of this one shipment.

This cartridge like the Serenade is only available with a cricut bundle which I think is terrible, why does Provo Craft tease their customers like this. You can t buy a new expression every time you want a cartridge. The cartridge goes for up to a $100 on Ebay I m afraid thats not in my budget. I think all cartridges should be available as a single purchase so we can all enjoy them!!!!!!! I want the Serenade so bad!!

I completely agree with you Sherry. Unfortunately, it’s the way Provo Craft is choosing to do things so in many cases Ebay is the only choice. BTW serenade can be found by clicking here and my write up on it is here.

This is the pits. I ordered the Picturesque Cartridge from Custom Crops and I was also told my cartridge would be delayed for 5 weeks. I waited the 5 weeks and now I’m on my 7th week. I sent an email to Custom Crops got a generic answer back, but no date as to when I can expect the goods. I must say this is very disappointing as I had several projects for my class lined up to use the cartridge. I may give up my cricut all together.

Have you tried contacting them? We are not associated with them in any way so it might be better to see what is up with your order. :)

I just wrote an email to provocraft via Contact/Feedback on their Web site, requesting that they consider re-releasing Picturesque as a single-cartridge item for sale. Perhaps if all of us who would dearly love to have this cartridge would write to them, it would be enough incentive for them to release it again for sale… as a stand-alone cartridge and not bundled with a machine.

I just received a very nice reply from Provocraft.com regarding the feedback I sent to them concerning a possible re-release of the Picturesque cartridge. Read what they said as it seems that the more response they get, the more likelihood of them releasing some of these much sought after cartridges might be:

Thank you for contacting us. We have received a lot of feedback like this regarding exclusive cartridges, and we assure you that it is not falling on deaf ears. There has been talk of offering them separate purchase in the near future, but no definite dates have been set nor concrete decisions made. I will add your vote to a tally we are keeping to gage the interest in these cartridges. Thank you for your input; I will pass you e-mail along to my supervisor.

Have a nice day!

I too am after the picturesque cartridge, I honestly thought that by buying a Cricut machine (and I have bought the Expression machine) I thought that I might be better served by your Company than the Craft Robo I used to have. I have been so disappointed as most of the cartridges are not available in the UK and the tax on exporting them into our country is astronimical and so not a good thing to do if you are on a budge. I think in all honesty that had I known that the products were so hard to find then I really would have not bothered buying Cricut and feel that I would advise anyone the same if asked for advice on this topic. Your after sales service in the UK is diabolical and the stocking level of goods is even worse if that’s possible.
